Announced last year and formally heralded as Ralph Breaks The Internet at Disney's presentation to last March's CinemaCon event, the sequel to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph is on its way later in 2018. A new image has emerged online via the Mouse House.

Expanding upon the idea of characters including John C. Reilly's Ralph and Sarah Silverman's Vanellope existing in arcade games, the new movie finds the pair and a few friends heading into wider world of the World Wide Web. It's an undoubtedly strange place for our heroes, and Ralph in particular will find the land of pop-up ads and social media a difficult one to adapt to.

We're promised trips to places such as Disney's own web portal, where various Disney princess are waiting to welcome Vanellope into their exclusive club and there will be nods towards the ever-growing family of Disney universes, including Marvel and Star Wars. There will be chaos.

Co-directing this one is original film's Rich Moore, while Phil Johnston, who had a story and screenplay credit before, steps up to work with him while also helping shepherd the script. It'll be out a little later than we originally thought, targeting a 21 November release in the US and a 30 November slot here.
