With Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm and the rights to make Star Wars films, we all knew that that would mean a lot more movies to come in future set in that galaxy far, far away. Having already said she intends to produce them for years, Kathleen Kennedy headed to The Star Wars Show to talk up some immediate plans.

"We’re sitting down now, we’re talking about the next ten years of Star Wars stories and we’re looking at narratively where that might go," she says. "Future stories beyond Episode IX, with these new characters, Rey, Poe, Finn, BB-8, but we’re also looking at working with people that are interested in coming into the Star Wars world and taking us to places that we haven’t been yet, and that’s exciting too because it’s a vast galaxy far, far away. The possibilities are endless."

Right now, the next movie on the horizon is Star Wars: The Last Jedi, due on 15 December. That will be followed by Solo: A Star Wars Story next May from the anthology spin-offs series and Star Wars: Episode IX, with JJ Abrams back directing, in 2019. An untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi film is in development and there has been talk of movies focusing on characters such as Jabba, Boba Fett and more. But what of Greedo: My Story?
