Original Title:

Sinking Of The Rainbow Warrior, The

Above average TV movie about the real-life sinking of Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior flagship in Auckland, New Zealand in 1985 whilst it was en route to protest at French nuclear testing in the Pacific.

This takes the vessel's bombing as its starting block and really gets the wind in its sails as skipper Jon Voight and local Kiwi superintendent Sam Neill team up to bring the perpetrators to justice - chasing sundry French secret service agents all over the islands as they try to cover up their environmentally-unfriendly actions.

Despite its knotty political themes, this is a moving David and Goliath tale about the power of your own convictions and a great advert for Greenpeace.
