Original Title:

Stitches

Stitches the clown (Ross Noble), killed during a children’s party, returns from the grave for revenge when teenager Tom (Tommy Knight) finally gets past the trauma to have another birthday bash. An ’80s-style gore movie from director Conor McMahon (Dead Meat), this goes for gross whether pinching zits or tying balloon animals from intestines. It does deliver the full quota of ugh-inducing effects, but tends to trip over its clown shoes when it tries to be too funny or scary. The young leads Knight and Gemma-Leah Devereux aren’t too bad, though.

Deeply icky on many different levels, with Ross Noble's feature debut illuminated by stomach-churning effects.
