The pilot for a Canadian-shot TV series, this has anonymous actors taking over from the movie regulars and suffers, as did the theatrical sequels, from having a hero (Richard Eden) whose character arc was completed in the first film. The plot involves a mad scientist (Cliff De Young) who steals a secretarys brain to power a computer which will enable him to take over the city, and the kiddie orientation of it all is underlined by the tragic decision to have Robo pal around with a cute little orphan girl.
