Original Title:

Prom Night

By the time the killer in this lame slasher movie starts hacking up the gormless cast, you’ll be pleased to hear the last of their inane chatter. Haunted by the murder of her family by her deranged teacher three years earlier, Donna (Brittany Snow) and her chums head to their prom - unaware that he has escaped from psychiatric care and is back for more fun with his penknife. An incompetent police force ensures he gains unrestricted access to fresh slaughter as Donna’s worst fears are realised. Slasher fans will have their worst fears realised too: the 15 rating means they’ll have seen more blood during their morning shave. Instead you’ll have to rely entirely on cornball oooh-a-psycho-in-the-mirror jumps to break the monotony.

Corny, monotonous and very far from scary.
