Having just moved to LA, Alex (Adam Scott) and Emily (Taylor Schilling) gratefully accept an invitation for dinner from hipster couple Kurt (Jason Schwartzman) and Charlotte (Judith Godrèche). What happens next forms the basis of Patrick Bryce’s frank and funny sex comedy. Early doors, Schwartzman’s hilarious hipster water-filter salesman-cum-artist rules the roost but Bryce lets all the actors shine, especially Scott and Schilling as a couple whose vulnerabilities emerge as the night throws up bongs, breast pumps and anal art. It doesn’t have anything new or insightful to say about relationships but it etches its quartet with engaging frankness, surprising tenderness and the ability to keep the twists coming until the sun comes up.

LA newbies Alex and Emily bump into a bohemian local (Schwartzman) while in the playground with their young son. Invited to his and his wife's palatial home for a playdate and pizza, the couple find things gradually taking a turn for the peculiar.
