Original Title:

Oh, What a Night!

Corey Haim stars as rampant Eric Hansen in this bittersweet coming-of-age tale that features Robbie Coltrane as a sympathetic small town garage mechanic willing to coach the plucky youngster in the ways of the world. Hormones a-raging, the frisky Eric is so desperate to find out the truth about the birds and the bees that he begins to spy on Vera (Barbara Williams), an attractive older woman. Luckily she's a skinny-dipping fanatic, but she also happens to be a young mother living with the town bruiser. True lust, however, always seems to find a way.

A sensitively handled, albeit low-key affair, with just enough touches of humour to make it surprisingly enjoyable.
