Original Title:

Arcade

This average piece of scary science fiction sees a bunch of teens get sucked into a new Virtual Reality video game. Heroine Megan Ward learns the designer has unwisely used brain tissue from a murdered child in creating the arcade attraction and that the kid takes out his resentments by swallowing souls. Naturally, Ward has to enter the game's universe to save her buddies. The plot of this obvious and cheap horror ride doesn’t place any demands on the viewer to actually think ride, while its canny use chroma-key video to suggest the alien gameworld, ends up coming off more like a kids' TV quiz show.

Cheap-looking graphics don’t help this fairly pedestrian film.
