Original Title:

Age Of Adaline

Who wants to live forever? It’s a question that has troubled many a vampire film — this drama starring Blake Lively takes a more romantic approach as its mysteriously immortal heroine Adaline moves through several decades, immaculately dressed while changing identities and toying with suitors. The latest is Ellis (Michiel Huisman), who might just be a keeper — but can Adaline tell him the truth and watch him grow old?

It’s a sentimental but stylish film with a strong cast including Ellen Burstyn and Harrison Ford, whose younger self is played by uncanny lookalike Anthony Ingruber.

Elegant-looking but lacking the rough edges to make it truly intriguing.
