Everything's coming up Olmos! Not content with a return to the Blade Runner universe for the sequel and a key role in the Mayan club-focused spin-off to biker drama Sons Of Anarchy, Edward James Olmos has scored another role in a high profile project: he'll be part of the cast for Shane Black's The Predator.

Black is busy directing the new instalment of lethal alien movies, which aims to restore the creature to former glory with a no-holds-barred sci-fi action adventure.

Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski and Olivia Munn are among the cast for the film which finds a group of former marines discovering the existence of the hunt-happy aliens, only for the government to cover it up. But when the bodies start piling up, our heroes will be needed to try to take down the menace. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Olmos will play a military character. Which seems like a smart call. So say we all!

The Predator, which Black wrote with Fred Dekker, is arriving in cinemas on 16 February next year.
