Director David Leitch has not wasted any time building the cast for new action thriller Bullet Train around star Brad Pitt. And slotting into place as one of the final pieces is Atlanta and Joker starZazie Beetz.
Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry and Andrew Koji are all already part of the ensemble, which is based on Kotaro Isaka's novel Maria Beetle. While the film's exact plot has yet to be specified, the story sees five assassins finding themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are linked to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station? As with the other cast, Beetz' character has yet to be revealed, we can imagine her as an assassin, especially after the fun she had in Deadpool 2.
Zak Olkewicz is writing the script under Leitch's supervision, and Sony is looking to have the movie shooting soon.
