Zack Snyder To Develop Games For EA

Zack Snyder is clearly a man who doesn’t know the meaning of ‘downtime’.

Not only does the director still have to finish Watchmen in time for its release next March, but he’s got about (insert comedic random number here) of movie projects currently at various stages of development. Oh, and he's also overseeing the creation of his brand-new drinks range, Zack Snyder's Snack Cider. Probably.

Oh, and even with all that on his plate, he’s signed a deal with Electronic Arts to develop three games for them. Where he’ll find the time, we don’t know. He must have a Time-Turner, or a pimped-up Delorean.

No details are currently available on any of the games, but given Snyder’s taste in movies, we’d imagine they’ll be epic in scope, and will have stunning visuals. The current plan is that EA will own the intellectual properties, but that Snyder could turn any of the three games into movies via his Cruel & Unusual Films banner, which he runs along with his missus, Deborah, and Wesley Coller.

Snyder isn’t the first director to branch into the world of games creation – Steven Spielberg, John Woo and Peter Jackson have all dipped their joypads into the murky waters – and we’d wager he won’t be the last. Who’s next, though, readers? James Cameron? Michael Bay? Mike Leigh?

As ever, use the space below to etc. etc.
