Scrubs star Zach Braff will follow his directorial debut **Garden State **with a remake of Open Hearts, a 2003 release from Denmark.
It’s the tale of a woman shocked by her fiance’s paralysis in a car crash. She ends up starting an affair with his doctor whose wife – in an odd twist – caused the accident in the first place.
Paramount has grabbed the rights to Braff’s adaptation and he’ll write, produce and direct, while also taking a small acting part. There’s no word on other cast members yet.
