The cameras have been rolling for a few weeks on Wonder Woman 1984 – enough time for director Patty Jenkins to screen a scene at this past weekend's San Diego Comic-Con – but there are still new cast announcements coming. Natasha Rothwell is joining the ensemble.

As is standard for these sorts of announcements, especially on the bigger movies, nothing has been announced about who she'll be playing. But we do at least know she'll be sharing the screen with Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, among others.

Wonder Woman 1984 finds Gadot's Diana Prince still battling the baddies (in this case, Wiig's Cheetah) in the 1980s, and also somehow features the return of Pine's Steve Trevor. It'll be on screens on 15 November next year.

Rothwell is a veteran of Saturday Night Live but can currently be found on HBO comedy Insecure. On the big screen, she'll also show up in the new Sonic The Hedgehog movie.
