With shooting underway for a while now on Season 2 of The Witcher, Netflix has put out a new look at Henry Cavill's main character, Geralt of Rivia, sporting some brand new armour. See the image below.
Season 2 finds the leads in disarray: convinced Yennefer’s (Anya Chalotra) life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
We're promised more monster action and, probably more timeline madness. And don't forget that there are live-action and animated prequel stories on the way too.
Season 2 doesn't have a set date for its launch on the streaming service yet, but if all goes well with the Covid-conscious shoot, expect it some time next year.
