If you've read any tabloids in the past 24 hours you will know that Nicole Kidman is pregnant. And this time actually pregnant, not pregnant in the way the red tops have announced 67 other times when she'd just supersized her lunch or suffered a bit of trapped wind. This delightful news for Kidman and her hubby has, however, meant that she's had to withdraw from her next film, The Reader. But, the good news is that the ever wonderful Kate Winslet has stepped into the role.

The Reader, based on a novel by Bernhard Schlink, is the story of a teenager who falls for a mysterious older woman in post-war Germany. Kidman was supposed to have played that mysterious older woman, who will now be played by Winslet. Director Stephen Daldry has already started shooting the movie in Berlin. Ralph Fiennes and German actor David Kross remain attached to the film.
