Empire had a chance to gab with Steve Carell recently (we can't tell you why or where just yet, unfortunately) and, when asked about future plans, dropped word that he was looking to reunite with Date Night co-star Tina Fey.
Now it looks like they're close to making it official: the Office man and **30 Rock **goddess are considering signing up to star in Mail Order Groom for Warners.
The basic concept follows a naive single American woman who, when she can't find love at home, ends up with a husband purchased in Eastern Europe, who she flies home to the US. Hilarity, we're sure, then ensues.
Given that the basic concept was partly dreamt up by Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, alongside Robert Carlock and Scott Silveri, it's entirely possible she'll agree to sign on. A fresh draft of the script is currently being bashed out by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
Don't start putting it in your diary just yet, though - the film still lacks a director and both actors have very tight windows for new movies given the production schedules of their TV shows. Oh, and there's the small matter of promoting Date Night (and the film ending up a success) first...
