Will Smith To Produce Cop Show

Will Smith is producing some Unfinished Business, as he fosters a cop-drama for the Sci Fi Channel. The show will initially take the form of a two hour TV feature-length pilot, with hope of a series to follow, and will track an ex-cop who takes on the memories of the recently deceased, leading him to help them finish their unfinished business, like The Ghost Whisperer with a badge.

Sadly, the charisma-tastic Smith won't be abandoning his glittering career for a return to his TV roots with an actual role in the show, but it's always interesting to see what producing roles Big Willy takes. Like the love child of Ghost Town and Cold Case, or even Constantine crossed with The Bill, Unfinished Business may become the **I, Robot **of prime time dramas with Smith and James Lassiter executive producing, alongside **Blue Velvet **actor Ken Stovitz.

Band Of Brothers' Emmy winning director Mikael Salomon will direct the pilot, which has will be penned by Medicine Man screenwriter Sally Robinson.

So, what's next for film stars producing TV shows? Tom Cruise tackles a home improvement show? Angelina Jolie brings us a sitcom? And is Unfinished Business going to do the business?
