In between his wacky comedies, Will Ferrell likes to sprinkle interesting little indie oddities. And for his next one, he's teaming up with director Gus Van Sant for Prince Of Fashion.

The film will find Van Sant adapting Michael Chabon's 2016 GQ article My Son, The Prince Of Fashion (which you can read right here). It details how the novelist, journalist and screenwriter took his 13-year-old son to Paris Men’s Fashion Week. In the article, Chabon tells a heartwarming story of the teen's passion for a world beyond his years, from meeting his fashion idol to experiencing a week of high-fashion runways, at the end of which he finally feels like he’s found "his people."

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, normally found writing the likes of Spider-Man: Homecoming or directing comedies such as Game Night, found the article, and approached Chabon about developing it into a film via their GoldDay company, and brought it to Van Sant. Ferrell will also be producing via Gary Sanchez Productions.

Ferrell is back on our screens next month for Holmes And Watson, his latest comedy team-up with John C. Reilly. The Sherlock spoof arrives on 26 December. Van Sant has _Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far On Foot_in cinemas.
