Spike Jonze has grabbed a nicely eclectic set of tonsils to provide the voices for his adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are.

Benicio Del Toro, Manhunter’s Tom Noonan, Catherine O’Hara, Forest Whitaker, Michelle Williams, L.I.E.’s Paul Dano and Michael Berry Jr (Pirates Of The Caribbean) will allow give voice to the titular creatures.

Jonze plans to mix the vocals, live-action puppetry and CG animation to film the story of Max, a defiant tyke who runs away from home after arguing with his mother (Catherine Keener) and ends up in a fantasy forest with the beasts.
