John McNaughton, who directed Wild Things, has signed to helm Backstabbers for Mandalay Pictures. It’s written by Wild scribe Stephen Peters and is described as a sexy caper about a rich New Yorker who masterminds his wife’s kidnapping. Trouble is, his mistress and bodyguard are also going to double-cross him.
Completing the reunion Neve Campbell and Denise Richards are in talks to star – now, if only they can persuade Kevin Bacon to sign on…
