20th Century Fox has announced that it has bought a family comedy pitch about the Tooth Fairy from writer-thesp Jim Piddock (Best In Show).
The studio has hired comedy script doctors Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel to work on the screenplay, which follows a manly man forced to serve time as the tooth fairy, tutu, crown and all.
Having spent around $2 million on the screenplay already, we can only wonder if Fox will be relying on the tooth fairy for funding. There are going to be a lot of toothless runners around the Fox lot this year…
