Matrix Reloaded gets a soggy reception in London

Being enslaved by a race of machines and forced to exist in a simulated version of reality may sound like something of a bummer but even that is preferable to good old British weather. A steady torrent of rain doused Leicester Square and everyone in it last night as fans waited patiently to welcome the stars of The Matrix Reloaded to our waterlogged capital. Undeterred by the deluge, Matrix fans lined the (unusually black) carpet clutching posters of Neo, Morpheus, Trinity et al, waiting to greet their idols and rather hoping not to drown. Large screens played clips from the film to entertain the sodden masses but the arrival of Hugo Weaving did wonders for lifting spirits.
