He is a sight that would strike fear into the heart of any Jedi. Master of the Sith, chief disciple of the dark side, the evil Emperor has been revealed. While the scheming senator held up an innocuous-looking fade in The Phantom Menace, Ian McDiarmid’s evil alter-ego will be showing his true colours in Episode II. Having risen to head of the imperial senate, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is looking considerably more sinister than in his first appearance. Dressed in black with pallid complexion and the familiar purple tinge around his eyes, he is now a big step closer to the cowled servant of evil who will go on to found the Galactic Empire and lead young Anakin to become Darth Vader.
