Waiting To Undress

Angela Bassett, star of Waiting To Exhale, is now starring in an adaptation of another Terry McMillan novel. She'll play the eponymous character in How Stella Got Her Groove Back . It's a romantic drama which tells the story of a 40-year-old career woman, struggling with a series of crises, while also trying to sustain a relationship with a man 20 years her junior. While discussing the role in an interview with The New York Daily News, she managed to slip in a dig about female nudity on the big screen - insisting she definitely won't be getting her kit off, she went on to say, "It's always the girl who takes her clothes off. We're the objects. It's just not necessary."
