The idea of God and the Devil competing for all the mortal souls in the world by having a competition to see who can make a woman fall in love with them? Oh, this won’t be controversial at all…

New Line has nabbed God, The Devil And Lucy from writer David Hubbard, which focuses on exactly that. The two old enemies decide one day that they’re sick of their endless battle for the souls of mankind and will settle the matter once and for all by taking mortal form and wagering to see who can make a mutually-picked lady love them. The catch? They can’t use any of their powers.

There’s no cast or director attached to the comedy yet, but several protestors are about to show up outside your home or office just for reading this story.
