Though plenty of people were disappointed that Netflix's big David Fincher announcement wasn't about a third season of Mindhunter, it's still exciting to see him presenting something new. The trailer for Voir, a collection of video essays about cinema.

Produced by Fincher and regular collaborator David Prior, Voir is a series of visual essays celebrating cinema and the personal connection we each have to the stories we see on the big screen. From intimate personal histories to insights on character and craft, each episode reminds us why cinema holds a special place in our lives.

The likes of critics and writers Walter Chaw, Drew McWeeny, Taylor Ramos, Sasha Stone and Tony Zhou offer the benefit of their experience pondering the big screen's impact across six episodes.
