There's one subject guaranteed to get Jon Voight in a lather and that's the thought of his daughter, Angelina, being in any form of trouble. So he was understandably concerned when he discovered that his little girl was going to be playing one of the world's toughest chicks, Lara Croft. Speaking at today's press conference for Tomb Raider in London, Voight admits that, 'as a Dad I was very concerned about the physical stuff that she had to do. And wondering whether Simon [West, the director] was going to be responsible and protect my daughter while she was over here.' When he discovered that some of the more dangerous stunts in the film hadn't even been rehearsed, Voight's worst fears were confirmed, 'I'm still in shock as a parent, you know,' he told the press. And as Angelina reeled off a list of her sustained injuries from the production, 'torn ligaments, a burn on my ankle and a few other scars,' her father looked even less happy. But a quick change of subject and Voight was off again, praising his youngest daughter to the heavens. 'Angie was very athletic when she was younger. When I was coaching soccer she was the youngest person on the soccer team and she was my best player... she was the best in her class at running.' Pity poor old Iain Glen, Angelina's co-star who said 'I wish my Dad was here,' when he was next asked a question.
