Vera Farmiga has a bit of a history with horror – the Conjuring films, most notably. Now she's on to both star in and produce one, signing on for Bad Bloom.
Bryce Maguire is directing the film, described as a horror fairytale that portrays a family living in isolation on a remote island to keep an unknown creature at bay. Their tightly guarded reality begins to unravel when one of the children learns the monster they feared is not the monster they envisioned.
Farmiga will be back on genre duty for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, currently pencilled in a for a June release. She's also part of the cast for the Hawkeye TV series.
