Diminutive action man Jean-Claude Van Damme is in the spotlight today his arrest yesterday for drink driving. The martial arts star was pulled over on Los Angeles' Sunset Boulevard and taken into custody before being released, bringing his recent 'clean-living' claims under scrutiny from the substance wary Hollywood community.
Just last month the actor told of his plans to relaunch his career after suffering from drug addiction, a factor which contributed to his marriage break-up. It's not known whether the case will go beyond a fine, but Van Damme will be lucky if he gets away with just that - Californian law is increasingly intolerant of drink and drug problems, resorting to imprisonment in some case, as with the unfortunate Robert Downey Jr.
