David Magee – who wrote Finding Neverland - is finding The Historian next.
He’s adapting the book, which was published in May and focuses on a young woman who searches Europe for her missing father. Daddy had been looking for the grave of Vlad the Impaler, the charming fellow who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Our heroine will face a challenge in the form of hungry bloodsuckers who try to stop her.
Sony has the rights to the film, but there’s no director or cast attached yet.
