Universal have decided to skip the traditional moritorium on what studios estimate the public will make the public cry "too soon!" after a catasstrophe, and are moving forward with a movie set in the devastation that followed Hurricane Katrina.

Hurricane Season will use a documentary by Franklin Martin (the charmingly titled Walking On Dead Fish) as its source material to relate the true story of an American Football team based in East St John High School, which is located just outside New Orleans. The team had to face an influx of displaced kids from neighbouring schools affected by Katrina and also tried to help rebuild their communities.
