It seems like only yesterday that Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook joined the cast of **Detention - mostly because it was only yesterday. And the news today is that some lady friends have joined them, with Resident Evil: Afterlife's Spencer Locke and relative newcomer Shanley Caswell joining them.

The story sees a group of high school students being stalked by a serial killer during the last stretch of school before graduation, but given that this is described as a horror comedy, expect something that's more Scream than Halloween.

Caswell will apparently play a "cute but awkward" girl with a crush on Hutcherson, while Locke's her cheerleader nemesis because deep down we all know that all cheerleaders are evil.

Torque's Joseph Kahn is directing, after writing the script with Mark Palermo. Shooting starts in LA this month.
