The latest ad directors aiming to make the leap from the world of commercials to films are Tom and Charlie Guard, who are talking to DreamWorks about A Tale Of Two Sisters.

If they get the job, they’ll be remaking the 2004 Korean horror thriller, originally helmed by Kim Jee-Woon. The plot of the remake focuses on siblings Alex and Anna Rydell who come home from a stay in an asylum to discover a truly nurturing home environment. And by “nurturing”, we mean “insane”, with a cruel stepmother, dozy dad and – what every home needs – nasty ghost.

Jurassic Park III scribe Craig Rosenberg is adapting the script, and now all the film has to do is clamber out of development hell. And get a cast. And a crew. And a release date. But apart from that, it’s smooth sailing.
