John Travolta has been approached by Miramax honcho Harvey Weinstein to play the lead male role in the film version of Chicago. But while many of Hollywood's finest female stars are elbowing each other out of the way to get a part, Travolta is less than keen. 'Harvey Weinstein has offered me the film but I'm not certain I want it, Travolta told the Calgary Sun this week. 'With Grease, I have the biggest movie musical in history. Before I do another film musical, I'd like to believe it has the same kind of potential.' Miramax are believed to have $30 million set aside for Chicago, which will be directed by Rob Marshall. Given the rumours that both Gwyneth and Winona have been approached to star - the question is whether Miramax will be able to afford Travolta's stellar salary?
