Hollywood heartthrob, John Travolta has been awarded a lifetime achievement award at the 34th Chicago International Film Festival. The Face/Off star - currently playing a sex-mad Governor in Primary Colors - shot to fame in the late seventies with Saturday Night Fever and, of course, Grease. Twice nominated for a best actor award (Pulp Fiction and Grease)in an acting career spanning 25 years and 40 years, Travolta's shining star waned somewhat in the eighties and for Pulp Fiction he only earned the paltry fee of $140,000. The Tarantino flick however, shot him straight back to the top of the Hollywood heap, allowing him to demand - and get - $15,000,000 to star in the 1997 Woo corker, Face/Off.
