Since he hiked back down from Brokeback Mountain, Ang Lee has been busying himself working on his follow-up, espionage thriller Lust, Caution.

And now he’s nabbed one of Asia’s top stars for the lead. Tony Leung, a veteran of Wong Kar Wai films such as In The Mood For Love and 2046, and also one of the Hero leads, has signed on to play a politician in 1940s Shanghai.

His leading lady is more of a newcomer – Tang Wei, no stranger to stage and TV projects in China, but making her film debut for Lee. She plays a young woman who becomes caught up in Leung’s dodgy world.
