Having tackled and tough, personal and based-on-truth story for his last assignment at Apple (that would be Cherry), Tom Holland is sticking with the company's streaming service for a new gig. He'll star in the first season of anthology series The Crowded Room.
With Akiva Goldsman aboard as head writer and producer, the series aims to tackle one story per season about a mental health issue. Holland will play Billy Milligan, the first person ever to be acquitted of a crime under the defence of dissociative identity disorder. The season is inspired by Daniel Keyes' biography The Minds Of Billy Milligan.
New Regency is aboard to shepherd the series for Apple, and one the scripts for the 10-part series are complete, the search will be on for a director.
