Even before The Hangover 2 began doing big business at the box office, members of the creative team behind the film were lining up projects of their own. One in particular was co-writer Scot Armstrong, who has locked in his directorial debut with a new comedy called Road To Nardo. And now She’s Out of My League’s T.J. Miller is in talks to snatch one of the leads.

Miller is looking to play a wise-cracking twentysomething slob (not really that different from some of his previous roles, but still) who journeys with a more successful roommate to go and save their pal Nardo, who has somehow found himself naked and stranded in Mexico.

The movie will represent his first big starring role, since he’s usually cropped up in comedy ensembles or sidekick roles, such as in Yogi Bear (shudder). But he first came to the cinematic world’s attention as one of the ill-fated hipsters in Cloverfield.

Armstrong, who has worked on several of Todd Phillips’ films before the Hangover sequel, is looking to shoot the movie later this year.
