Michelle Trachtenberg has signed on to the remake of Black Christmas. Trachtenberg, who is best known for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Eurotrip and Ice Princess, will star as a sorority sister in the horror movie.
Black Christmas follows a sadistic killer who taunts the occupants of a sorority house over the Christmas break before slaughtering them one by one. Also under threat will be Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Katie Cassidy and Oliver Hudson.
Glen Morgan and James Wong - who brought us Final Destination, and are about to unleash the third entry in that series – are producing the remake of the 1974 film. Morgan will be writing and directing, with a shoot planned for later this month and the aim to release the film next Christmas.
