Timothy Olyphant is set to star with Joe Anderson (Across The Universe) in High Life. This is based on Lee MacDougall's play and not, sad though it may make some of you, the '90s Alan Cumming sitcom.

The film centres on a group of useless drug addict criminals (is there any other kind?) who plan a bank heist that goes wrong (is there any other kind?). Olyphant will play the head of the rubbish gang, with Anderson, Stephen Eric McIntyre and Rossif Sutherland his deputies.

The film will be directed by Gary Yates from a script he co-wrote with MacDougall and will shoot in Canada.

We haven't yet seen Hitman, so we've seen no evidence of Olyphant's ability to carry a movie. But he's terrific in supporting roles, so we look forward to seeing whether he can make the leap to headliner successfully.
