Tempted as we are to make a political joke about its title given current events, Joachim Trier's award-winning film is actually a romantic drama. After plenty of praise from festival audiences (including star Renate Reinsve taking Best Actress at Cannes), The Worst Person In The World is headed for more general release. Check out the trailer...

Chronicling four years in the life of Julie, the film examines one woman’s quest for love and meaning in the modern world. Fluidly told in twelve chapters, the film sees Reinsve's Julie as she explores new professional avenues and embarks on relationships with two very different men (Anders Danielsen Lie and Herbert Nordrum) in her search for happiness and identity.

The Worst Person In The World will arrive in Stateside cinemas via Neon on 4 February, with MUBI bringing it to UK screens on 25 March.
