For four weeks now, The Mandalorian has been back on Disney+, delighting Star Wars fans every week with the ongoing adventures of Din Djarin and his trusty sidekick Baby Yoda (or, The Child, for purists). And as every chapter of Season 2 has been hitting the streaming service, the Empire Podcast team has been assembling to dig into the most thrilling set-pieces, the cutest moments, and all those fan-friendly references reaching far and wide into the Star Wars canon, in episodes available to listen to right now on the Empire Spoiler Special Podcast channel.

But this week’s Mando Spoiler Special – breaking down Chapter 12: The Siege – is even more special than usual. That’s because we have a wonderful guest tag along for the ride — the legendary Carl Weathers, who not only returns to the show for this episode as Greef Karga, but also slides into the director's chair, and oversees more action than you could shake a darksaber at. In an extended exclusive interview, he spoke to Chris Hewitt about his approach as a director, working with Baby Yoda, handling the action scenes, and more – plus, there’s all the usual nonsense as Chris is joined by Helen O'Hara, James Dyer, and Ben Travis, talking baked goods, bad guys, and those mysterious ‘M-counts’.

As ever, the episode is available to listen to in full when you subscribe to the Empire Spoiler Special Podcast – and if you haven’t yet, you can do exactly that right here. But if you need a little more persuasion, here’s a short preview of the episode featuring the inimitable Carl Weathers, and the Empire Team.

Expect new episodes on The Mandalorian every Monday, as well as spoiler-filled pods on all the latest and greatest movies, brand new retro-specials, and access to the entire Spoiler Special archive. Enjoy.

The Mandalorian debuts new chapters every Friday on Disney+.
