The Crown Season 3

All hail Olivia Colman! Yes, the Oscar winner (it's still good to write that) has taken over the lead role of Queen Elizabeth II in time-spanning royal family drama The Crown, but we'd all started to wonder when the third season of the show would actually arrive. Wonder no more, as Netflix has announced a November date for the latest batch of episodes.

We've moved on in the world again (hence the recasting of the main players), with the new run spanning 1964-1977. So expect the usual mix of political upheaval, personal drama and corgis.

Joining Colman in the new ensemble are Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as Tony Armstrong-Jones, Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Marion Bailey as The Queen Mother and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson. Yet we're possibly even more intrigued to see Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.

Mark your calendar for 17 November and prepare for the next round of right royal fuss.
