The Batman: New Trailer Finds Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader Promising Vengeance

One of the bigger titles teased at last year's FanDome event, Matt Reeves' The Batman was only a short way through filming. As 2021's incarnation hits, it is – despite a few Covid-forced delays – wrapped, so there's more of Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell and the rest to show off. Moody and dark-skewing (well, it is Batman after all), the new trailer shows off scenes such as Dano's Edward Nashton being collared by the cops (including a natty line in latte foam art), our cowled hero posing on different rooftops, defeating plenty of goons (Pattinson's Bat suit is handily bullet-resistant) Farrell's Penguin thinking that he's gotten away from Bats – think again! We also see more of Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, in a variety of wigs and outfits. Clearly there's the usual spark between her and Bruce...

Oh, and of course there's a slowed down cover of a song, in this case Nirvana's 'Something In The Way'.

The Batman – or perhaps he just prefers to go by "Vengeance" now – will be out on 4 March next year. You can find Reeves and the rest talking about making it below.
