The Film Independent team has managed to announced its nominations for the Spirit Awards this year without the list leaking out early. And movies such as Loving, Swiss Army Man and more are up for several awards.
This year's awards will be held on Saturday 25 February next year, the traditional day before the Oscars. Kenneth Lonergan's latest, Manchester By The Sea has already been the recipient of plenty of praise, as has Barry Jenkins' Moonlight, out here on 24 February.
We're happy to see Robert Eggers nominated for The Witch, and pleased that Andrea Arnold is seeing plenty of love for American Honey.
