Craig Gillespie's Disney baseball drama **Million Dollar Arm **is coming together quickly now, with Jon Hamm and Alan Arkin already stepping up to the plate. What it lacked until now was either of its converted Indian cricketers, but the first to play ball has just been announced: Suruj Sharma will be making it the follow up to his impressive breakout in **Life Of Pi.

If you're new here, the film is based on a true story which saw sports agent JB Bernstein decided that bowling in cricket was much the same as pitching in baseball. He therefore staged a reality TV contest - the Million Dollar Arm of the title - in India, where the winning cricketers would be shipped off to the States for a new career. Ultimately triumphant were Dinesh Patel and Riku Singh, who both ended up playing for the Gulf Coast League Pirates. It's not yet clear which of the two Sharma will be playing.

Hamm is Bernstein, while Arkin is doing his Argo old-man-well-versed-in-the-game thing again as a retired talent scout. Tom McCarthy, who wrote Win Win and The Visitor, is on screenplay duty, and the film starts shooting imminently in Mumbai.
