There are a number of changes coming to the second season of Supergirl, not the least of which is a lifting (at least temporarily) of Warner Bros. edict that the Man Of Steel could not appear on the show. As a result, Superman will make, at the very least, a two-episode appearance at the start of season two.
The above clip has been released from the season premiere, featuring Tyler Hoechlin as both Clark Kent and Superman, who takes to the sky to mount a joint rescue mission with Melissa Benoist's Kara Danvers/Supergirl.
Supergirl's second season will premiere 10 October in the US on the CW, and 24 October in the UK on Sky1
