Needing to cut through the fog of food and American football during breaks in the Super Bowl, adverts usually tend to ramp things up. And since the Fast & The Furious franchise never found anything it couldn't use as a ramp to drive a vehicle over, Fast And Furious 8 naturally went for carmageddon. Prepare yourself and watch...

The Fate Of The Furious (for that is its US title) promises the usual gang torn asunder as Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) appears to turn against everyone else and join forces with the mysterious, alluring Cipher (Charlize Theron).

So the regulars, especially Dwayne Johnson's Hobbs will have to tool up and take him down. Which means working uneasily with a former antagonist, as Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw is "persuaded" to team up. Yeah, that's going to go well.

F. Gary Gray is the man in charge of creating ever more insane action across a variety of locations, including the freezing plains of Iceland. The film's driving in on 14 April.
